Marlene McIntyre

Marlene was born in Ohio, but moved to Texas at the age of six months, lovingly tucked into a dresser drawer on the backseat of her Daddy's Volkswagen Bug.  She has loved to travel and explore the world ever since!

Since her auspicious beginning, Marlene has developed an addiction to learning new skills and collecting degrees. She started with a simple BS in Mathematics & Chemistry at the ripe old age of 20 and a graduate certificate in Engineering at 22. She eventually picked up an MS in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins while raising a rambunctious teenager and working full time as a Software Engineer.

So what in the heck does any of this have to do with music video production? Great question! Marlene got a LOT of experience taking adorable snapshots and videos of her kiddo, and later her grandkids. She sang first soprano with her  church choir and was lucky enough to sing with them at Carnegie Hall and in London.  She also got a lot of experience herding cats (aka working with humans) and generally getting stuff done whether it wanted to get done or not.

After retiring in a fit of pique at never having time to do her own thing, Marlene sallied forth and rashly applied to a music program of study at her local college. At first she just wanted to be able record great lullabies for her grandbabies. But school was even more fun than she remembered!  It was fascinating! The kids were friendly and didn't laugh at her chubby Boomer self! And it was a lot of work!!! But then a strange and confusing thing happened. She accidentally started writing songs. Not fancy schmancy songs, but still! So OF COURSE she had to enroll in film classes so she could turn those little songs into amazing videos! And in the meantime, she and her ruggedly handsome husband had already started producing concert videos, band videos, and even recording their own music in their little home studio.

Marlene's passion for cinematography has now gotten totally out of hand, and she is well on her way to a degree in filmmaking and the arts (vocal performance). Because why have to choose only one? And of course since one must keep busy, she has also applied for admission to a local university's music composition program.

Egged on by her Fabulous Digital Engineer Beloved (FDEB), she is now on a fast track to get a fistful of new degrees before she hits 75 or 80, and is planning to go viral any day now. She needs paid work and crowdfunding $$$ to feed her passion, so hire us!

p.s., Shoutout to Felicia Day for inspiring us nerds everywhere with her music video I'm the One That's Cool. She set the bar for music video excellence and no one will ever be better. But I'm going to try!
